This is MayaBags version of the famous Papagallo purse of the 1960's.  Just the right size for keys, a cell phone, a wallet and lipstick, this is a perfect, casual evening "cocktails" bag.  It's made of Belgian linen, with a hand-embroidered butterfly on 100% eco-cotton appliqued onto the front of the bag.  It's lined in 100 cotton in a complimentary color.

Designed by Izabel Lam, well-known clothing, jewelry, and table top designer, these purses are truly unique.  Made for  evening wear, the fabric top is hand-loomed on a back strap loom by a Maya woman, the basket is hand-coiled by a Maya woman and is lined with silk, and the long strap for either over your shoulder or across the body wear has been hand woven with glass beads by a Maya woman.  The total look is topped off with a vintage button....or two.  The purse is 6" wide by 4" tall and is priced at $185.00.  Other colors available.  Special order is suggested for the color you want, although several colors are in stock.
