return policy

MayaBags wants you to be fully satisfied with your purchase. If for any reason a product does not meet your expectations, you may return any non-sale item for a full refund, excluding shipping and handling charges, provided that products are returned in their original condition within 30 days of delivery. We cannot accept returns after 30 days. Similarly, sale merchandise is “final sale” and cannot be returned.  Returns should be shipped, at customer’s expense, to: MayaBags, 115 West 88 Street, New York, New York 10024. Please include a copy of your order or your full name and last four digits of your order number. We recommend you use a trackable and insured shipping method. Refunds will be made in the same form as the original payment. For exchanges, return the original item and place a new order on-line. MayaBags will replace any defective product, unless the defect is the result of normal wear and tear.

product care

MayaBags products that are hand-woven can be spot cleaned using a damp cloth and mild fabric soap, if necessary. Hand-embroidery on commercial machine-woven fabric should be carefully cleaned as well. Generally a dry cleaning spray used lightly on spots offers the best approach. Leather softens with age and should be cared for like other leather products.


The information requested at checkout is only used for secure fulfillment of your order and will never be shared with another company.

international shipping

Your order will be shipped via USPS Global Priority Mail and should be delivered within 4-10 business days. You will be provided with a tracking number. USPS is affordable and generally dependable for international shipping. Please keep in mind the following details:

  • Goods shipped outside of the USA will be declared as “Commercial merchandise” at its full retail value; the customer is responsible for any import taxes or fees associated with the customer’s local importation regulations.

  • Delivery times are approximate and local customs processing may add time to your delivery.

  • If a shipment is returned to us due to non-delivery, the customer is responsible for the original shipping costs as well as shipping costs to resend the order.
